I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease nearly 11 years ago.  And for all that time, tremor has never been a problem for me.  Every now and then, just a dab in my right thumb, maybe my forefinger.

Today is Christmas.  I was just settling down to plow through a delicious prime rib sammich, when all of a sudden my right hand starts shaking.  Also my left hand.  They don’t shake all the time, as you’ll see in the video.

From what I can see in the available literature, tremor can and often does get worse in the later stages of the disease.  I took a Stalevo 100 about 45 minutes ago, and I’m not noticing any change.

Let’s hope this is just a temporary glitch, and not a Christmas Gift I’ll Always Remember!

Looks like I’m reaching that point in my Parkinson’s progression where sometimes the pills work, other times they don’t.  It’s happening again this morning.

Struggled to get out of bed.  (Sure will be glad when my new bed and its RAILS and ADJUSTABLE POSITIONS gets here!)  After nearly falling two or three times while steadying myself, managed to trundle out to the kitchen to see Gail on the couch, fresh from bringing the dogs back in from their 6am potty break.  I gave her a hug and sent her back to bed.  Took my morning Stalevo 100, along with my morning Zoloft, my morning Metropolol, my morning Lisinopril and my morning Prilosec, washing them down with a small glass of egg nog so as not to allow the pills to upset my tum tum.

The Zoloft? The Metropolol, the Lisinopril, the Prilosec?  Far as I can tell they’re doing their jobs.
