An Unexpected Christmas ‘Gift’ — TREMOR!

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease nearly 11 years ago.  And for all that time, tremor has never been a problem for me.  Every now and then, just a dab in my right thumb, maybe my forefinger.

Today is Christmas.  I was just settling down to plow through a delicious prime rib sammich, when all of a sudden my right hand starts shaking.  Also my left hand.  They don’t shake all the time, as you’ll see in the video.

From what I can see in the available literature, tremor can and often does get worse in the later stages of the disease.  I took a Stalevo 100 about 45 minutes ago, and I’m not noticing any change.

Let’s hope this is just a temporary glitch, and not a Christmas Gift I’ll Always Remember!

Another Busy Day Awaits

Gotta go out and about again today.  First, we’ll schlep down to Red Robin (I’m hooked!) for some burgerliciousness.  Then, it’s down to a thrift store in Laurel to get some stuffed toys for Santa to deliver to some dogs who have tried to be VERY GOOD this year.  You will see how they TREAT these toys in the pictures below.

Then, off to the store to get the Roast Beast.  Actually, it’s Prime Rib, but I like to call it Roast Beast cuz if it lures the Grinch to my house, I can deal with the rotten bastard once and for all.

As far as gifting, we got something nice for TJ.  Gail already gave me my Green Bay Packers jacket.  And all she wanted was a cash gift that she could send to her son in Arizona.  I’m going to try to talk her into going out with me on Christmas Eve to pick something out for herself, but she is the most unselfish person in the world so I expect a challenge.
